♥ A musical tribute for husband and wife ♥

I’ve been thinking about what my wedding song would be since I was a little girl. It’s like the overture to your very own love story – and you want it to be good. Ladies, surely I’m not the only one.

It’s highly unlikely that any bride would dispute that the first dance as a legally married couple is of utmost importance. For this reason, your song selection for your special day should be carefully thought out.

The list of possibilities is literally endless. Most couples have a song that symbolizes the beginning of their love, or a special moment in time. I’ve taken a moment to compile my top 10 songs (actually this list has been in the making for years):

1.    You’re still the One – Shania Twain
2.    All my Life – KCi and Jojo
3.    I Will Always Love You – Whitney Houston
4.    At Last – Etta James
5.    Have I Told You Lately – Van Morrison
6.    Iris – Goo Goo Dolls
7.    Wonderful Tonight – Eric Clapton
8.    When You Say Nothing At All – Ronan Keating
9.    Come Away With Me – Norah Jones
10.   The Way You Look Tonight – Frank Sinatra

It’s so important to pick a song that not only holds special memories for you as a couple, whose lyrics reflect the feelings and emotions you have for each other, but that will also set the pace for the rest of the reception. What songs are on your list? I’m dying to know so please leave a comment below!

  1. Have I told you lately. Love that song.

  2. ‘The way you look tonight’, cause every girl deserves a guy singing to her as if she is the only girl he’s ever wanted… Both are great choices :)
