♥ petal pinchers at company gardens ♥ {Janine & Graham}

If these little faces don’t bring a smile to your face, I don’t know what will. Sanja and I both arrived at Janine’s house to be greeted by these three beautiful little flower girls excitedly prancing around in their dresses. After capturing some cute shots of them, we found Janine quietly getting dressed in her bedroom. You’d never have said she was getting married in a few hours! read more »

♥ as wedding photographers, we like to prepare ourselves ♥

We’re always fully prepared for a wedding – you have to be as a wedding photographer; fully charged batteries, spare batteries, spare memory cards, spare camera, tripods, shutter cable release, external flashes, diffusers, reflectors… The only thing we aren’t ever fully prepared for (as humans) is the emotional side of things. Documenting one of the most important days in two people’s lives is rewarding, but at the same time poignant and extremely moving. read more »

♥ A word of thanks from Tenille Abrahams ♥

“Having Natalie and Sanja do my wedding photography was a blessing. They both have vibrant, friendly and welcoming personalities; this was exactly what I needed from the ladies who were by my side from start to finish . My photos are proof that they are great photographers and captured every moment perfectly”.

♥ purple pursuits ♥ {Tenille & Justin}

Unlike other brides in the months before their wedding day, Tenille tried everything possible to put on a few kilograms before her wedding in Cape Town! Even though she must have eaten enough bread and margarine to feed a ship full of hungry sailors, her petite frame remained unchanged. How she managed to give birth to Cole, we’re still unsure… but what we do know though is that Tenille is naturally photogenic and her wedding was beautiful! read more »

♥ “Will you marry me?” ♥

We found this today on the website 10and5. It’s one of our car flyers that we’ve been distributing to promote For Life photography as a Cape Town wedding photographer service. The responses from the flyers have been astounding! Some Capetonians have burst out laughing and others have turned around suspiciously looking for someone in a bush with a video camera.

We wanted to capture the attention of people in Cape Town in a unique way and what better way to do it than to leave what looks like a hand-written “Will you marry me?” note on an unsuspecting Capetonian’s windscreen.

If you have received one of these flyers or love what we did, please feel free to leave a comment below!

♥ zevenwacht wedding ♥ {Kirsten & Wouter}

Wouter didn’t propose on one knee in front of a thousand people. He did something that took even more courage: put on a wetsuit, climbed in to the shark tank at the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town and asked the woman he loves to marry him by holding up a sign. Now that takes balls (and a diver’s license in case you’re wondering). read more »
