A wedding cake should be as enjoyable to look at than it is to eat. The only problem with this is that moment of hesitation when you raise your knife above it and realise just how beautiful it is intact. We’re always fully prepared for a wedding – you have to be as a wedding photographer; fully charged batteries, spare batteries, spare memory cards, spare camera, tripods, shutter cable release, external flashes, diffusers, reflectors… The only thing we aren’t ever fully prepared for (as humans) is the emotional side of things. Documenting one of the most important days in two people’s lives is rewarding, but at the same time poignant and extremely moving. read more »
